Jack Draper is coming off a three-set win over Matteo Berrettini. It is the second victory by Draper against the Italian. He trailed by a set but battled back to win 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in two hours and 22 minutes.

In the victory, Draper hammered eight aces and three double faults. The Briton landed 72% of first serves and won 76% of first serve points (45/59).

Draper won 65% of second serve points (15/23) and saved three of four break points. He compiled 37% of return points won (41/111) and broke Berrettini twice in the match.

Jiri Lehecka caused the biggest shock of this year’s Qatar Open. The talented Czech beat top seed Carlos Alcaraz in three sets.

The match took 28 games to decide and lasted two hours and 10 minutes. It is the biggest win of Lehecka’s young career by ranking.

Lehecka trailed 2-4, 30-40 on the Alcarazserve in the third set, but finished strongly, reeling off four games in a row to complete the upset.

In the victory, he hit eight aces and two double faults. Lehecka landed 63% of first serves and won 73% of first serve points (44/60).

Lehecka won 36% of second serve points (13/36) and saved four of seven break points. The World No. 25 won 36% of return points (27/76) and converted four of eight break points in the match.

This is Lehecka’s second final of the season. He won the title in Brisbane last month.

Well, let’s break down how these two players match up against each other. Draper is a machine with a powerful combo of serve and forehand that can be difficult to defend against when he is firing on all cylinders. And this week, he’s been wreaking havoc with the serve+1 and his ability to dictate baseline points with his raw power.

Lehecka is slightly the more versatile player and it can be argued he’s probably the more athletic and fitter of the two (although I should mention he has had his own injury issues in the past year). I think this one is a tougher call than the first semifinal. Both players were thoroughly impressive in their quarterfinal wins and with little to choose, I’d have to lean Lehecka here, just because he can be trusted to win this match if it goes the distance.
