Cal Quantrill Over 2.5 Earned Runs

Miami Marlins vs Milwaukee Brewers 4:10 PM EST

Cal Quantrill made 19 starts, logging 87.2 innings with a 3–8 record, 5.24 ERA, and 1.37 WHIP while striking out 70 batters. Quantrill’s season has been trend-heavy. He began with a high ERA and WHIP, but his middle-season stretch was more serviceable, posting a 4.07 ERA over his last 5 starts and showing flashes of command. This is a tough spot for Cal Quantrill, though. He’ll be up against the Brewers, who are on absolute fire right now. We’ve also seen Quantrill’s ERA take a massive jump when pitching away from Miami. I expect the Brewers to continue to roll and Quantrill to have a tough outing.

Logan Webb Under 2.5 Earned Runs

San Francisco Giants vs New York Mets 10:15 PM EST

Logan Webb continued to anchor San Francisco’s rotation in 2025, posting a 9–7 record over 21 starts with a 3.08 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 140 strikeouts across 131.2 innings, solidifying his status as this Giants team’s ace. He led the National League in innings pitched by mid-July and ranked among the league leaders in strikeouts. Webb’s command and contact suppression remained elite. He allowed just 89.4 mph average exit velocity and a 38.8% hard-hit rate. Webb is currently in his worst stretch of the season, but I like him to bounce back in this going. He’ll be back home where he’s been dominant, and he’ll be up against a Mets lineup that’s struggled away from Citi Field.

Nick Martinez Over 2.5 Earned Runs

Tampa Bay Rays vs Cincinnati Reds 7:10 PM EST

Nick Martinez emerged as a dependable left-handed starter for the Reds. He’s comes in with an 8–9 record, a 4.73 ERA, and a 1.22 WHIP across 20 starts and 116.0 innings, striking out 81 batters. Martinez has looked great in certain spots this season but we’ve also seen him get destroyed in others. For instance, he came off back-to-back starts where he only gave up 2 earned runs, but in the start before that, he gave up 10 earned runs to the Marlins. I’m worried for Martinez that we see a blowup start in this one. The Tampa Rays have been strong on the road this season, and I can see them having success playing in a ballpark like Great American Ballpark.
