Brazil has never missed a World Cup and they have won the championship five times: in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and 2002. Brazil has made at least the Quarter-finals in eight straight tournaments, but they have been stopped in the Quarters in four of their last five. In that draw, Morocco led 1-0 in the eighth minute, but they allowed the equalizer in the 75th minute. Morocco recorded 13 total shots, five shots on target, and had 46% of the possession. Morocco has played four other friendlies in recent months: a 4-0 win over Madagascar, a 5-0 win over Burundi, a 2-1 win over Paraguay, and a 1-1 draw with Ecuador. 

Morocco has qualified for six World Cups and their highest finish was fourth place, which came in 2022. Morocco has been eliminated in the Group Stage four times and they made the Round of 16 once as well. In 2022, Morocco drew Croatia 0-0, defeated Belgium 2-0, and defeated Canada 2-1 in the Group Stage, before defeating Spain in penalties, defeating Portugal 1-0, losing the Semi-final to France, and losing the third place match to Croatia. 

Brazil vs Morocco Prediction 

This is a great matchup to start the tournament for both of these teams, but Brazil has the edge when looking at experience and overall talent. Brazil is one of the top teams in the world and I think they are going to look very good offensively. Morocco will try to build on that 2022 run, but they played some weak teams in their friendlies, so this is a huge step up in competition. I think Morocco will have a solid tournament, but I like Brazil to win here.
