St. Louis Cardinals vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction

Mathews is a top-10 prospect in the Cardinals system, but I have a rule of not backing pitchers making their big league debut. We have no idea what to expect. Mathews has also had issues at times with consistency and location, so we’ll see. Gausman has been a mess for much of the season, but he has a 3.86 ERA at home. The Blue Jays also have a lineup capable of exposing shaky pitchers. The Blue Jays need to pile up the wins if they’re going to sneak into the wild card race. Taking advantage of a pitcher making his big league debut is a decent spot. Give me the Jays.
