Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview
The Green Wave have been trying to fend off the .500 mark for most of the young season so far. Tulane opened up the year with a 17-3 loss to a good Duke squad, then got their first win of the year over South Alabama 28-24 in game two. Game three was another loss, this time 31-20 versus Kansas State. That would make for a 1-2 start for Tulane through the first trio.
The Green Wave were able to get back into the win column back on September 26 versus Southern Miss in their latest game. Tulane was all tied up at the half and trailed 21-14 going into the final quarter. The Wave were able to score a couple times for a 24-21 comeback win. QB Kadin Semonza was 12-of-24 for 129 yards, one TD and one interception in the victory.
Army Black Knights Betting Preview
Over on the Army side, they only have four games in the books as well so far this year. The Knights had a pretty easy time versus Bryant in the opener, winning that one 59-3. Game two was the Black Knights’ first loss of the year as they fell 28-24 versus South Florida. Army was able to bounce back with a victory over Temple in game three, taking it 21-17 for a 2-1 start.
Matched up against Louisiana Tech last weekend the Knights managed a first-quarter touchdown run and went into the break trailing 14-7. Army had a brief 15-14 lead in the third and eventually lost a tough one 31-29. QB Cale Hellums was 12-of-24 for 151 yards, one TD and an interception. Samari Howard carried 12 times for 158 yards and a score.

Tulane vs Army Prediction
I’ll stay with Army but I’m probably avoiding it. The Knights lost a gritty road matchup versus LA Tech last weekend despite the Bulldogs committing 10 penalties for 76 yards. Army’s offense gained 421 total yards and 25 first downs, but the defense gave up 503 yards and 244 rush yards on the other side. It’s been a pretty middling year for Army so far but they’re at least scoring fairly well with 21 or more points in all four outings.
As for Tulane, they were able to dispatch a struggling Southern Miss team in their last game despite going just 5-of-15 on third-down tries. Defensively Tulane gave up just 3-of-14 on the other side and 19 first downs. This extra time to rest and prep should help Tulane out a bit, but I don’t think they’ll quite cover.
