William & Mary Tribe Betting Preview
The Tribe didn’t start off the year on a very hot run, but they’ve gotten better since early December. William & Mary lost seven of their first 12 games, falling to Radford, Winthrop, NC Central, NC State, App State, Old Dominion, and VCU in that time. A win streak over Navy, Hofstra, Stony Brook, Elon, North Carolina A&T, and Hampton came next, then a 3-2 stretch. Those losses were versus UNC Wilmington and Campbell. Otherwise, it was wins over Hampton, Monmouth, and Charleston. The result so far has been a 14-9 overall run through the first 23 games of the season for the Tribe.Â
In the Charleston matchup on Monday, the Tribe entered the second half with a 41-39 edge. William & Mary got better from there on a 49-36 run and took the eventual win 90-75 in the end. Leading the team in scoring was Kyle Pulliam with 18 points, three rebounds and one assist off the bench. Isaiah Mbeng had 12 bench points with four assists, and Gabe Dorsey led the starters with 11 points with four rebounds, three steals and two assists in 32 minutes.Â
Drexel Dragons Betting Preview
Over on the Dragons’ side, they’ve been a mixed bag so far this year—hence the near-.500 record. Drexel opened with a 5-4 stretch, taking wins over Georgian Court, Colgate, Fairfield, Fordham, and Chicago State. A 5-2 run came next with losses to Penn State and Campbell among wins versus Penn, Albany, Howard, North Carolina A&T, and Stony Brook. Since then it’s been an inverted 2-5 stretch with wins over Hofstra and Delaware alongside losses to Towson, Elon, Northeastern, Monmouth, and Towson again, giving the Dragons a 12-11 overall record.Â
In their Saturday rematch versus Towson, the Dragons held a 35-29 deficit by halftime. Drexel made a run at it in the second half with a 25-20 advantage but fell just short in a 55-54 loss. Kobe MaGee led the team on a double-double with 11 points, 12 boards, and two assists. Shane Blakeney added 11 points with three boards and one block off the bench as well.Â

William & Mary vs Drexel PredictionÂ
I’ll lean toward William & Mary here. The Tribe didn’t have too much trouble versus a pretty good Charleston team in their last outing—despite a bit of a slow start. William & Mary shot a nice 50 percent from the field in that one with a whopping 27 team assists and only five turnovers. The Tribe also did well on 16 points from 12 Cougars turnovers. It was a nice bounce-back effort on offense after an ugly 96-55 road blowout versus Campbell last Thursday. William & Mary has now scored 74 or more points in four of the last five games, a 3-2 stretch.Â
As for Drexel, they shot 46.8 percent from the field with a 37-31 rebounding advantage versus Towson but still found a way to lose. The Dragons have been below 68 points in four straight games (a 2-2 run), so if they can’t find some offense here in a hurry I don’t think Drexel will get too close. William & Mary should have the advantage in most facets.Â
