San Antonio Spurs Betting Preview
The San Antonio Spurs needed to bounce back after getting stopped in their tracks in Game 2 and they did that with a comfortable 120-108 road win at Portland in Game 3 on Friday to take a 2-1 series lead. Stephon Castle led the team with 33 points and five assists on 10 of 18 shooting, Dylan Harper added 27 points and 10 rebounds on nine of 12 shooting off the bench while De’Aaron Fox chipped in with 18 points and six assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 47 percent from the field and 16 of 33 from the 3-point line but this win was more about their defense as they actually got off to a sloppy start and looked to be in deep trouble after trailing by 17 points late in the third quarter, before they responded with a crucial 47-15 run to flip the game on its head and win comfortably in the end.
Portland Trail Blazers Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers looked like they were about to take control of the series late in Game 3 before they went cold and allowed the Spurs to reclaim the series lead on Friday. Jrue Holiday led the team with 29 points, six rebounds and five assists, Scoot Henderson added 21 points while Deni Avdija chipped in with 19 points, six rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 41 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line as they got off to a solid start and poured in 65 pints in the first half to lead by as many as 17 points but they allowed the Spurs back into the contest and it cost them in the fourth quarter where the Spurs went on a 19-2 run to snatch the game away from them. Avdija had a rough shooting night as he made just three of 15 shots from the field while Tounami Camara scored just two points on one of six shots from the field.

The Spurs are still keeping an eye on Jordan McLaughlin and Victor Wembenyama who are both questionable, while the Trail Blazers are coming in with the same squad again. The Spurs must be feeling pretty good after they took down the Trail Blazers in an impressive comeback victory on Friday to reclaim control of the series, so now the pressure is on the Trail Blazers to respond or fall into a 3-1 series deficit. There were certainly some positives for the Trail Blazers to take from the defeat, but I think the Trail Blazers just missed their best chance to take the lead in the series. The Spurs hold all the momentum and I think they stay hot with another win and cover on the road in this one.
