France and Nigeria meet Thursday in the 2024 Women’s Basketball Summer Olympics at Pierre Mauroy Stadium. Here’s a France vs Nigeria Prediction. This article will include a France vs Nigeria Pick.
France Betting Preview
France looks for a quick 2-0 start after blasting Canada 75-54 in its Olympic opener. France is averaging 75 points on 42.9 percent shooting and allowing 54 points on 32.1 percent shooting. Marieme Badiane is averaging 13 points and 6 rebounds, while Gabby Williams is averaging 12 points and 8 assists. Leila Lacan is dishing 4 assists and Valeriane Ayayi is grabbing 5 rebounds. Nigeria Betting Preview
Nigeria also looks for a 2-0 start to the Olympics after beating Australia 75-62 in its opener. Nigeria is averaging 75 points on 35.3 percent shooting and allowing 62 points on 38.6 percent shooting. Ezinne Kalu is averaging 19 points and 5 rebounds, while Promise Amukamara is averaging 14 points and 9 assists. Amy Okonkwo is the third double-digit scorer and Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah is grabbing 7 rebounds. Nigeria is shooting 31 percent from beyond the arc and 85.7 percent from the free throw line. Nigeria is allowing 37 percent shooting from deep and is grabbing 40 rebounds per game.
France vs Nigeria Prediction
France is coming off a big, comfortable win and has the home crowd to support, so it's not a surprise to see a big line. However, you are going to pay some inflation. Nigeria just upset a good Australian team while getting after it defensively, and that cant be overlooked. Oddsmakers are treating that game as a fluke with this line. Nigeria plays hard, is physical and does a fine job on the glass. Obviously, France should win, but just throwing out a 17.5 point line does feel a little too rich and a bit disrespectful toward D'Tigress. I expect a hard fought game between two teams that have a chance to take control of group B. Give me Nigeria and the boatload of points.
