Carlos Alcaraz and Jiri Lehecka meet in the final of the 2025 HSBC Championships at Queen’s Club in London. The match is scheduled for Sunday, June 22. Here’s our Carlos Alcaraz vs Jiri Lehecka prediction. This preview will also include a Carlos Alcaraz vs Jiri Lehecka pick.
Carlos Alcaraz vs Jiri Lehecka Preview
Carlos Alcaraz reached his second final at Queen’s Club with a straight-sets win over countryman Roberto Bautista Agut in the semifinals. Alcaraz won 6-4, 6-4 in 90 minutes. He hit 15 aces and just one double fault in the match. Alcaraz landed 71% of first serves in play and won 73% of first serve points (30/41). He faced one breakpoint in the match, which he saved.
Before this victory, Alcaraz had defeated Adam Walton to kick off his campaign and then came through that marathon second round against Jaume Munar in which he trailed by a break in the third set before recovering to win. In the quarterfinal, he beat Arthur Rinderknech 7-5, 6-4. Alcaraz has only lost one set this week. Alcaraz won the 2023 Queen’s tournament on his debut and has since amassed two Wimbledon crowns. He will be the favorite to win the title on Sunday.
Meeting him will be Jiri Lehecka, who reached his first grass-court final. The 23-year-old Czech upset second seed Jack Draper in the first semifinal. Lehecka prevailed 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 in a thriller that lasted two hours and nine minutes. Lehecka finished the match with 16 aces and four double faults. He landed 60% of first serves in play and won 77% of first serve points (44/57). Lehecka saved five of six breakpoints. It was the first time this week that Lehecka had dropped a set. Before that, he had knocked out Alex de Minaur, Gabriel Diallo, and Jacob Fearnley all in straight sets.
Carlos Alcaraz vs Jiri Lehecka Head-To-Head
Alcaraz and Lehecka have met twice on the ATP Tour. The head-to-head is tied at 1-1. Alcaraz beat Lehecka en route to winning Queen’s in 2023. The Czech avenged that loss earlier this year in Doha in three sets.
Carlos Alcaraz vs Jiri Lehecka Prediction
Lehecka continues to prove people wrong on this surface. He’s shaken up the draw, eliminating much-fancied favorites like De Minaur and Draper. I think he’s handled the surface a lot better than expected. His serve has been a bedrock, and his movement looks assured. Still, it’s a different ball game stepping on this surface against Carlos Alcaraz, who, in truth, might be the best grass-courter of this generation. His game on this surface has matured very quickly. The top seed’s relentless power will just suffice to land him his second Queen’s title.
