Tennessee Titans Betting Preview
To put it mildly, the Titans have been struggling this year. Tennessee opened up the season with a 20-12 loss versus the Denver Broncos, then lost 33-19 versus the Los Angeles Rams. The Titans kept the losing streak going in Week 3 versus the Indianapolis Colts, logging a 41-20 defeat. In that one Tennessee gained just 282 yards on offense (196 rushing) with 4.3 yards per play, 21 first downs and a 5-of-14 success rate on third-down conversions. On defense the Titans surrendered 365 yards (228 passing), 6.9 yards per play and 22 first downs.
In Week 4 versus the winless Houston Texans, Tennessee’s woes continued. The Titans managed to hang around most of the game, entering the fourth quarter with a 6-0 deficit. After 20 unanswered points however, Tennessee had a 26-0 shutout loss. QB CJ Stroud had a couple of TDs and 233 yards on 22-of-28 passing, while leading rusher Jo’quavious Marks carried 17 times for 69 yards and a touchdown. Nico Collins was the leading receiver in the losing effort, logging four grabs for 79 yards in total.

Over on the Cardinals’ side, they got off to a good start this year, bagging wins in their first two games—each by one score. Arizona took out the New Orleans Saints in a road matchup during the opener on September 7, then powered out a 27-22 win over the Carolina Panthers the next weekend. Game three was the Cardinals’ first loss however, as they’d fall 16-15 versus the San Francisco 49ers in a rough outcome. In that defeat Arizona managed a tepid 260 yards of offense (154 passing) with 16 first downs and 5-of-15 on third downs. The defense gave up 355 yards (282 passing) on the other side but held the Niners to just 2-of-10 on third downs.
Last weekend in their most recent outing versus the Seattle Seahawks, the Cardinals were in trouble with a 17-6 deficit heading into the fourth quarter. Arizona managed to make a game of it with two more scores but still lost 23-20 in the end. QB Kyler Murray was 27-of-41 for 200 yards, two scores and two picks while also leading the rush on five carries for 41 yards. Tops in receiving was Marvin Harrison Jr. with six catches for 66 yards and a touchdown of his own.

Titans vs Cardinals Prediction
I’m staying with Arizona, but you could probably argue this one either way. The Cardinals have a couple of close losses in their last two games, including a three-point margin versus Seattle last weekend. In that one Arizona gained 253 yards (164 passing) with 4.0 yards per play, 18 first downs, 6-of-15 on third-down tries and a couple of interceptions. The Cardinals gave up 384 yards (229 passing) on the other side with 6.0 yards per play and 20 first downs. All things considered the defense didn’t do a terrible job of keeping the team in the game, as they have all season so far. Arizona has given up no more than 23 points in any outing but they’ve scored fewer than 21 points in three of four. It shouldn’t be too hard to keep Tennessee’s offense in check, but this is looking like a low-scoring game overall.
Andrew Jett's Pick: Arizona Cardinals -9.5
