Kansas City Chiefs Betting Preview
The Chiefs started out the year on a tear but they just recently suffered their first blemish. Kansas City opened on a five-game win streak, taking out the Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers. After a loss to the Seahawks, the Chiefs sit at 5-1 on the year after six outings.
In the Seattle game last weekend the Chiefs gave up a field goal and a touchdown in the second quarter and couldn’t find the scoreboard themselves in a 10-0 game at the break. Kansas City could only muster a field goal in the third quarter and limped to a 20-3 loss. QB Patrick Mahomes was 19-of-33 for 165 yards and a pick during the loss.
Denver Broncos Betting Preview
Over on the Broncos’ side, they opened things up on a rather shaky clip but they’ve hit their stride lately. Denver went 2-2 in their first four games with wins over the Jaguars and Rams in between losses to Kansas City and San Francisco. Since then it’s been wins over the Chargers, Seahawks and Cardinals in succession for a 5-2 record so far.
Matched up against the Cardinals on Sunday the Broncos got a couple of field goals in the first quarter and a 62-yard TD run from Bo Nix in the second for a 13-6 lead at the break. Denver got even better from there, eventually powering out a 30-16 victory on the road. Nix finished 15-of-29 for 222 yards and a TD while rushing for 73 yards and the touchdown.

Chiefs vs Broncos Prediction
I’ll take a stab on Denver but you could obviously argue it either way. The Broncos didn’t have a ton of issues against a struggling Cardinals team last weekend, posting 377 total yards and 18 first downs. Denver was a bit shaky on third downs (3-of-11) though, and gave up 24 first downs on defense. Still, during this three-game win streak the Broncos have given up fewer than 18 points in every outing.
These teams last met up in the opener on Monday, September 14 in Kansas City. The Chiefs took that one 31-10 in fairly dominant fashion, racking up 392 yards and 19 first downs versus Denver’s 176 yards and nine first downs. The Broncos also had a couple of turnovers and went just 2-of-12 on third downs. In short, Denver has their work cut out for them in the home rematch.
