Arizona Cardinals Betting Preview

It’s been another rough year for the Cardinals so far. Arizona opened with a win over the LA Chargers, then fell to the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, New York Giants and Detroit Lions in the next four outings. The Cards would then beat the LA Rams before another loss to the Denver Broncos. Over seven games that gives the team a 2-5 record.

In the Denver game last Sunday the Cardinals had a 6-6 tie late in the second quarter then gave up a 62-yard rushing touchdown to Bo Nix. In the second, Arizona managed to get to a 20-13 deficit briefly before giving up another 10 points in a 30-16 loss. QB Jacoby Brissett was 27-of-48 for 272 yards and a touchdown. Bam Knight added seven carries for 48 yards.

Dallas Cowboys Betting Preview

Over on the Cowboys’ side, they’ve had quite the choppy year themselves. Dallas opened up the season at 2-2 overall with wins over the Washington Commanders and Houston Texans alongside losses to the Giants and Ravens. After two more losses to the Buccaneers and Packers, the Cowboys beat the Eagles for a 3-4 record in their first seven outings.

Matched up against the Eagles on Monday the Cowboys posted a touchdown in the first quarter and another in the second on the way to a 20-14 advantage by the break. Dallas added another TD in the third and one last in the fourth for a 38-21 victory in the end. QB Dak Prescott put up a 15-of-27 line for 212 yards and three scores during the victory effort.

Cardinals vs Cowboys Prediction

I’ll take the Cowboys here. Dallas actually looked pretty good on Monday against a struggling Eagles squad, putting up 416 yards of offense and 25 first downs. The defense gave up 321 yards and 23 first downs on the other side, surrendering just 5-of-12 on third downs as well. The Cowboys really needed that 38-point outburst after scoring just 29 combined over the previous pair (both losses)

As for the Cards, they gave up 377 yards and 18 first downs in their loss to Denver. It was something of a sloppy game with Arizona committing nine of the 20 total flags for 59 yards. The Cardinals have given up 30 or more points in all five of their losses this season.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Dallas Cowboys -6.5
