Arizona Cardinals Betting Preview
The Cardinals were looking good after the first couple games of the season but since then it’s been a rough ride. Arizona beat the Saints and Panthers out of the gate, then fell versus the 49ers, Seahawks, Titans, Colts and Packers in the next five. After a win versus the Cowboys, the Cardinals lost to the Seahawks and 49ers, giving the team a 3-7 run through the first 10 games of the year.
In last weekend’s matchup with the Jaguars, the Cardinals gave up points in every quarter but forced overtime. After the extra period however, Arizona finished with a 27-24 defeat. QB Jacoby Brissett had a 33-of-49 line for 317 yards and a score while Michael Carter put up five carries for 28 yards as the team’s leading rusher. Michael Wilson had a good day receiving though, with 10 catches for 118 yards total in the loss.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Preview
Over on the Tampa Bay side, they looked pretty good ahead of their bye week. The Bucs beat the Falcons, Texans, Jets, Seahawks, 49ers and Saints in those first eight outings with losses otherwise versus the Eagles and Lions. After the bye Tampa Bay lost to the Patriots and Bills though, giving the team a 6-4 run through 10 games this year.
Matched up against the Rams last weekend, the Bucs were demolished in the first half on a 31-7 deficit. Tampa Bay couldn’t find the scoreboard again the rest of the way and lost handily 34-7. QB Baker Mayfield was 9-of-19 for 41 yards, one TD and two picks. Sean Tucker rushed 12 times for 42 yards and Emeka Egbuka had three catches for 32 yards in the defeat.

Cardinals vs Buccaneers Prediction
I’ll go with Tampa Bay on a coin flip, but realistically I’m avoiding this one. The Bucs really need a good bounce-back effort after getting drilled by the Rams last weekend. Tampa had two picks with just 14 first downs, 193 total yards and 2.9 yards per play in that loss. The defense gave up just 4-of-10 on third downs but also 6.1 yards per play and 20 first downs to the Rams. That makes three straight losses for the Bucs, with 28 or more points surrendered in each.
As for the Cards, they mustered 25 first downs and 326 total yards in their overtime loss to the Jaguars but went just 5-of-16 on third-down conversion attempts. The defense gave up 371 yards with 6.1 yards per play on the other side, but also had four takeaways and a 3-of-11 success rate on third downs. Arizona has lost three straight themselves, but they’ve put up 20 or more points in eight straight games. I could see the Cardinals taking this one as well.
