A summary that ties it all together and produces a favorable betting outcome for the Cardinals vs Seahawks game
The Cardinals posted wins in their first two games this year, taking out the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers. A losing streak ensued after that however as Arizona fell versus the 49ers, Seahawks, Titans, Colts and Packers. In the 27-23 loss to Green Bay, the Cardinals gave up just 262 yards, 4.9 yards per play, 19 first downs and 3-of-10 on third-down tries. Green Bay had 10 penalties for 94 yards, but it wasn’t enough to help Arizona get the win.
In their Monday matchup versus the Cowboys, Arizona went into the break with a 17-7 edge. The Cardinals scored another 10 points in the third quarter on the way to a 27-17 victory in the end. QB Jacoby Brissett finished 21-of-31 for 261 yards and two scores while also rushing for a TD. Emari Demercado had 14 totes for 79 yards as the leading rusher and Marvin Harrison Jr. posted seven grabs for 96 yards and a TD of his own.
Over on the Seahawks’ side, they went 3-1 over their first four outings with a lone loss to the 49ers among wins versus the Steelers, Saints and Cardinals. Seattle hit a 2-1 run from there with a loss to the Buccaneers ahead of wins versus the Jaguars and Texans. In the 27-19 home win over Houston, the Seahawks put up 316 yards and 19 first downs but also had four turnovers and went just 2-of-14 on third-down tries. The 12 team penalties for 93 yards didn’t help matters, either.
Matched up against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, the Seahawks held a modest 7-0 lead after the first quarter, then dumped 24 points on Washington in the second. In the end Seattle had a 38-14 blowout victory. QB Sam Darnold logged a 21-of-24 line for 330 yards, four scores and a pick while top rusher Kenneth Walker had 11 totes for 42 yards. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught eight balls for 129 yards and Tory Horton had a pair of receiving TDs.
The Cardinals have lost each of their last nine games against NFC West opponents on a winning streak.
The Seahawks have won each of their last seven Sunday games against the Cardinals.
The Seahawks have covered the spread in each of their last five games against the Cardinals following a win.
The Cardinals have failed to cover the spread in four of their last five November games against NFC West opponents.
The Cardinals have lost the first half in 12 of their last 13 games as underdogs following a win.
The underdogs have won each of the Cardinals’ last four Week 10 games.
The Seahawks have lost five of their last six home games when playing with a rest advantage.
The Cardinals have covered the spread in each of their last eight games as road underdogs before a Division game.
The Seahawks have failed to cover the spread in seven of their last eight games at Lumen Field when playing with a rest advantage.
The Seahawks have lost the first quarter in five of their last seven November games as home favorites against NFC opponents.
The Seahawks have lost the first half in five of their last six Week 10 games against NFC opponents.
Each of the last six games between the Cardinals and Seahawks at Lumen Field have gone UNDER the total points line.
Each of the Cardinals’ last six road games played on the West Coast have gone UNDER the total points line.
Three of the last four games between NFC West teams have gone UNDER the total points line.
I’ll stick with Seattle. The Seahawks put together an impressive cross-country road win versus a better-than-their-record Commanders team last weekend, piling on 418 total yards, 330 pass yards, 21 first downs and 8.7 yards per play. On defense Seattle gave up just 290 yards, 4.7 yards per play, 19 first downs and 6-of-13 on third-down tries alongside two takeaways. Washington’s eight penalties didn’t hurt, either. The Seahawks have given up fewer than 20 points in three straight games now—all victories.
As for Arizona, they didn’t have too much trouble versus Dallas last weekend. The Cards defense gave up 333 yards with 22 first downs and 5-of-12 on third-down conversions alongside a very important trio of takeaways. Arizona managed 340 yards, 23 first downs and no turnovers on the other side. The Cardinals have scored at least 20 points in five straight games, but they’re just 1-4 in that stretch. I don’t think they’ll be able to slow down Seattle enough to get into a cover in this one.
