The Philadelphia 76ers have been doing it tough lately as they’ve lost five of their last seven games overall, but they will be feeling much better after they arrest a four-game slide with a 135-108 road win over the red-hot Timberwolves on Sunday. Tyrese Maxey led the team with 39 points and eight assists, VJ Edgecombe added 24 points, Quentin Grimes scored 19 points off the bench while Kelly Oubre Jr chipped in with 18 points. As a team, the 76ers shot 52 percent from the field and 21 of 37 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 68 points in the first half to take a 10-point lead into halftime before they ran away with it in the second half to secure one of their more dominant wins of the season against a quality opponent in the Timberwolves.

Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers have been in a real slump as they’ve lost seven of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to snap a three-game skid after getting beaten by the Mavericks in a 134-130 loss on Sunday. Pascal Siakam led the team with 30 points, eight rebounds and three assists on 12 of 19 shooting, Andrew Nembhard added 22 points with 11 assists while Jarace Walker chipped in with 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Pacers shot 50 percent from the field and 20 of 42 from the 3-point line as they hit the ground running with 66 points in the first half, but even though they never trailed by more than 11 points, but they were always a couple steps behind the Mavericks who didn’t look like a team riding a 10-game losing streak at all.

The 76ers could be shorthanded again with Joel Embiid listed as questionable, while the Pacers have ruled out Tyrese Haliburton, Obi Toppin, Aaron Nesmith out with TJ McConnell listed as questionable and Pascal Siakam listed as doubtful. These teams have already clashed twice this season with the 76ers winning both meetings and I think that trend continues here. The 76ers could be missing some firepower if Embiid is ruled out, but they still have more than enough to get past this ice-cold Pacers squad missing almost all of their best players. The line is a bit hefty, but I think the 76ers take care of business in this spot.
