The Oklahoma City Thunder have been on a tear as they’ve won nine of their last 12 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their five-game win streak halted by the Heat in a 122-120 road defeat on Saturday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 39 points on 12 of 19 shooting, Aaron Wiggins provided the spark off the bench with 18 points on seven of 10 shooting while Chet Holmgren chipped in with 14 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks. As a team, the Thunder shot 55 percent from the field and 13 of 29 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 37 points in the first quarter to lead for most of the contest, but they went ice-cold and didn’t score a single point in the final 1:49 to allow the Heat to snatch the game away at the end.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been doing pretty well lately as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the 76ers in a 117-115 road win on Friday. Jaylon Tyson led the team with 39 points on 13 of 17 shooting, De’Andre Hunter added 16 points off the bench while Donovan Mitchell tallied 13 points with nine rebounds and 12 assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 52 percent from the field and 17 of 34 from the 3-point line which are efficient numbers, but the Cavaliers struggled to get going and they trailed for most of the contest before they closed the final 4:16 on a 15-6 run capped by the game-winning dunk from Evan Mobley with just 4.8 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

The Thunder are still missing Jalen Williams and Isaiah Hartenstein, while the Cavaliers have ruled out Sam Merrill, Darius Garland and Max Strus. The Thunder are coming into this meeting fresh off a rare defeat, but they were on fire before that loss so it’s no surprise to see them as road favorites in this spot. The Cavaliers have been doing well to keep their heads above water lately despite all the injuries they’ve accrued, but they will have to be at their best to challenge the Thunder who are always so tough to beat following a loss. The Cavaliers are tempting at home, but the Thunder don’t take losses well and I think they bounce back with a win and cover in this spot.
