Los Angeles Clippers Betting Preview
The Los Angeles Clippers have been on fire lately as they’ve won 12 of their last 14 games overall and they will be gunning for a sixth straight victory after outlasting the Raptors in a 121-117 overtime road win on Friday. James Harden led the team with 31 points and 10 assists, Jordan Miller tallied 19 points with six assists on eight of 11 shooting off the bench while Kris Dunn chipped in with 15 points and four assists. As a team, the Clippers shot 52 percent from the field and 13 of 36 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Raptors in the first quarter and quickly fell into a 14-point deficit, but they chipped away at the deficit and closed the final 4:53 of the fourth quarter on a 12-4 run to force overtime where they were always in control after scoring the first two baskets.
Washington Wizards Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in a real slump as they’ve lost seven of their last eight games overall and they will be hoping to arrest a six-game losing streak after falling short to the Nuggets in a 121-115 road defeat on Saturday. Kyshawn George led the team with 29 points on 10 of 28 shooting, Alex Sarr added 16 points with eight rebounds while Khris Middleton chipped in with 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Wizards shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 30 from the 3-point line as they fought hard all game to take a five-point lead midway through the fourth quarter, until the Nuggets went on a 23-8 run to take the game away from them.
Los Angeles v Washington Free Prediction
The Clippers are still missing Bradley Beal, Derrick Jones Jr, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kawhi Leonard, while the Wizards have ruled out Cam Whitmore, Trae Young and Bilal Coulibaly. Both teams are coming into this contest with plenty of injuries, but it’s the Clippers who hold the clear edge in depth as they still have plenty of firepower to make up for the absence of Leonard. The Wizards deserve plenty of credit for how they were able to stick with the red-hot Nuggets in their last outing, but I don’t like their chances against this resurgent Clippers squad. The line is a couple points higher than I predicted, but I will back the Clippers to get the win and cover in this spot.
