The San Francisco Giants and the Colorado Rockies will meet on Thursday night in the opening game of a three‑game National League West series at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado.

San Francisco Giants Betting Preview

The San Francisco Giants enter Thursday’s contest with a 36–50 overall record (4th in the National League West) and an 18–22 mark on the road. The Giants offense has been inconsistent to this point in the season. San Francisco has compiled 349 runs scored (27th in MLB), 162 doubles, a .256 team batting average and 93 home runs which ranks a rather low 21st in Major League Baseball.

The Giants arrive at this evening’s contest in good form. San Francisco has won three of the team’s last five games played this season, including a thrilling 3–2 victory over the Atlanta Braves last week.

San Francisco will turn to right hander Logan Webb in this contest. In fourteen starts made this season, Webb has compiled a 5–5 win‑loss record, a 3.09 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP and 76 strikeouts, while allowing 74 hits and 22 walks in 90.1 innings pitched. Webb has pitched well, allowing one or fewer earned runs in five of his last six starts made in 2026. Webb will look to build on his recent strong performances on the mound in tonight’s matchup with the Colorado Rockies.

Shifting our focus to the Giants offense, the San Francisco lineup features second baseman Luis Arraez and third baseman Matt Chapman. Luis Arraez enters this contest with a .322 batting average (4th in MLB), 30 RBIs, 6 stolen bases and an .804 OPS. Matt Chapman has amassed 7 home runs.

Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

The Colorado Rockies enter Thursday night’s matchup with a 35–53 overall record (5th in the National League West) and a 20–24 mark at home. Colorado has played quality baseball recently, winning two consecutive games, including a 6–3 victory over the Miami Marlins two days ago.

Colorado will start right hander Ryan Feltner in today’s game. In eleven starts made this season, Feltner has compiled a 2–2 record, a 4.42 ERA, a 1.25 WHIP and 35 strikeouts, while allowing 46 hits and 20 walks in 53 innings pitched. Feltner will look to stabilize his early season performance in tonight’s matchup with the San Francisco Giants.

The Colorado Rockies lineup features first baseman TJ Rumfield and outfielder Troy Johnston. TJ Rumfield enters this contest with a .288 batting average, 12 home runs, 30 walks, 44 RBIs and an .854 OPS. Troy Johnston has amassed a robust .314 batting average (7th in MLB), 22 doubles, 3 home runs, 35 RBIs and an .818 OPS.

• Offensive balance. Luis Arraez and Matt Champman lead the San Francisco Giants lineup.

• Recent momentum. San Francisco has won three of the team’s last five games.

Why the Colorado Rockies will win.

• Home field edge. Colorado has historically performed better at Coors Field.

• Offensive upside. TJ Rumfield and Troy Johnston provide a strong core to the Rockies lineup.

San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies Prediction

In my opinion, this matchup favors the San Francisco Giants. Why? San Francisco starting pitcher Logan Webb arrives at this contest in outstanding form, allowing one or fewer runs in five of his last six starts made this season. The Giants also arrive at this contest in good current form, winning three of the team’s last five games. With that said, the Giants are the side to be on in this one. I am backing the San Francisco Giants on the moneyline in this game.
