Over the weekend the Dodgers played the Kansas City Royals. Los Angeles managed wins in two of those games: 4-3 Friday and 3-0 Sunday to take the series. After wins 9-5 and 11-9 against the Rockies in this series, on Wednesday the Dodgers took a close loss 7-6. Starter Bobby Miller finished with 6.1 innings, five earned, six hits and three walks.
In the starter role for the Thursday finale the Dodgers will send out Gavin Stone. This year Stone is 7-2 with a 3.01 ERA and 56 Ks in 74.2 innings over 13 starts. Stone is 8-3 with a 4.77 ERA in 21 games (17 starts).

Over on the Rockies’ side, they took on the Pittsburgh Pirates in their weekend series. Things didn’t go very well in that one outside of a 16-4 Saturday win as Colorado dropped the set. On Wednesday the Rockies came back from a 6-4 deficit to take the win. Ryan Feltner went 5.0 innings in the start with seven hits, two walks and six earned.
It’ll be Ty Blach in the starting pitcher role for the Rockies on Thursday. This year Blach is 3-4 with a 4.65 ERA over 11 games (eight starts). In his career, Blach is 23-29 with a 5.12 ERA in 147 games (66 starts). The Rockies will play against the Nationals following this series.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs Colorado Rockies Prediction
I’ll stay with the Dodgers. The line’s too thick to mess with, though. Stone has given up five earned over 17.2 total innings in his last three starts, going 2-0 in that time. In his last start, Stone managed three earned in 7.0 frames during a no-decision versus KC. As for Blach, he’s given up 10 earned runs in his last 15.2 innings over three starts for a 1-2 record.
On Wednesday Los Angeles had a pretty good night on offense. The Dodgers got three RBI from Shohei Ohtani but it wasn’t enough to overcome Miller’s rough start. That said, LA should be in good shape Thursday.
