Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

The Rockies played the Milwaukee Brewers in their last series. Colorado lost Saturday 5-2 but won the other two games 3-2 and 4-1. In the Sunday finale, the Rockies bagged 12 team hits and held the Brewers to just three on the other side. Starter Kyle Freeland finished with 6.0 clean innings, three hits, and no walks.

As a starter for Tuesday’s opener, the Rockies will send out Bradley Blalock. So far Blalock is 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA in the first six games (five starts) of his career.

Detroit Tigers Betting Preview

Over on the Tigers’ side, they played the Oakland Athletics in their weekend set. Detroit fell 7-6 in the opener, then won 2-1 and 9-1 in the weekend games to take the series. The Tigers notched 16 total hits and six runs in the eighth inning alone during the final victory.

Keider Montero will be the starter for the Tigers on Tuesday. So far Montero is 4-6 with a 5.47 ERA in his first 14 games (13 starts).

Colorado Rockies vs Detroit Tigers Prediction

I’ll stick with the Tigers. Probably not touching it, though. Both starters have been pretty sketchy on the mound lately. Montero has given up 10 earned runs over his last three starts in 14.1 innings total. As for Blalock, he’s got 12 earned runs in his last 14.1 innings over three starts, going 1-2 in that trio.

Detroit has scored pretty well lately, notching four or more runs in four of their last five games. The Tigers have given up three or more runs in three of those five, however, so they’ll need a good pitching performance across the board Tuesday.

Andrew Jett's Pick: Detroit Tigers -167
