Colorado Rockies Betting Preview
This week the Rockies played the Houston Astros in a pair of matchups. Colorado lost Tuesday 5-2 then fell again 7-1 in game two. Starter Ryan Feltner ended up with four earned in 6.0 innings, and Brenton Doyle had the lone Rockies RBI.
In the starter slot for the Friday matchup the Rockies are sending out Dakota Hudson. This year Hudson is 2-10 with a 5.63 ERA in 15 starts. Hudson is 40-30 over his career with a 4.09 ERA in 129 games (94 starts).
Chicago White Sox Betting Preview
Over on the White Sox’ side, they had zero luck versus the Los Angeles Dodgers this week, losing in a sweep. Chicago would follow that up with a one-off game versus the Braves on Thursday. In that one the Sox scored their lone run in the first inning during a 1-0 victory. Chicago had just four hits in that one and held Atlanta to only three.
Drew Thorpe will take the starter role for the White Sox Friday. This year Thorpe is 1-1 with a 5.02 ERA in three starts (the first three starts of his career). He has nine Ks in 14.1 innings.

Colorado Rockies vs Chicago White Sox Prediction
I’ll lean toward the Rockies, but I’m likely staying away. Hudson is coming off a rough loss with 11 hits, two walks and eight earned in 3.0 innings versus the Nationals. Prior to that Hudson was better with four earned in 12.0 innings but still went 0-2 in that pair.
Colorado has struggled to score lately, which could impact this series significantly. The Rockies have just four runs combined in the last three games, and playing away from home likely won’t help in overcoming that trend. It’s going to be an uphill battle this weekend.
