The Colorado Rockies and the Arizona Diamondbacks will meet on Wednesday afternoon in the final game of a three game National League West series at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona.

Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

The Colorado Rockies enter Wednesday’s contest with a 47–73 overall record (5th in the National League West) and a dreadful 20–41 mark on the road. The Rockies offense has been competitive to this point in the season. Through 116 games played in 2026, Colorado has compiled 568 runs scored (7th in MLB), 217 doubles (1st in MLB), 134 home runs and a .256 team batting average which ranks third in Major League Baseball.

The Rockies arrive at this afternoon’s game in below average form. Colorado has lost six of the team’s last eight games played this season, including a 3–2 defeat to the St. Louis Cardinals five days ago.

Colorado will turn to right hander Ryan Feltner in this game. In 17 starts made this season, Feltner has compiled a 4–6 win loss record, a 5.71 ERA, a 1.45 WHIP and 59 strikeouts, while allowing 86 hits and 33 walks in 82 innings pitched. Ryan Feltner arrives at this contest in rather poor form, allowing five earned runs or more in two of his last four starts made this season. Feltner will look to stabilize his recent subpar performances on the mound in this afternoon’s matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Colorado Rockies lineup features first baseman TJ Rumfield and catcher Hunter Goodman. TJ Rumfield enters this contest with a .295 batting average (11th in MLB), 13 home runs, 45 walks, 59 RBIs and an .828 OPS. Hunter Goodman has amassed a team leading 34 home runs (3rd in MLB), 69 RBIs and an .864 OPS.

Arizona Diamondbacks Betting Preview

The Arizona Diamondbacks enter Wednesday afternoon’s matchup with a 64–57 overall record (2nd in the National League West) and a 36–26 mark at home. Arizona has played quality baseball recently, winning three of the team’s last five games, including a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers three days ago.

Arizona will start right hander Merrill Kelly in this game. In 21 starts made in 2026, Kelly has compiled an 8–9 record, a 4.88 ERA, a 1.47 WHIP and 80 strikeouts, while allowing 126 hits and 50 walks in 120 innings pitched. Kelly has pitched at a high level recently, allowing two earned runs or fewer in six of his last seven starts made this season.

Shifting our focus to the Arizona offense, the Diamondbacks lineup features Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte. Corbin Carroll enters this contest with a .241 batting average, 16 home runs and an .802 OPS, while Ketel Marte has tallied 20 home runs, 65 RBIs and a .750 OPS.

Why the Colorado Rockies will win.

• Offensive firepower. Hunter Goodman and TJ Rumfield continue to anchor the Rockies lineup.

• Starting pitching. In 17 starts made this season, Ryan Feltner has compiled a 4–6 win loss record, a 5.71 ERA, a 1.45 WHIP and 59 strikeouts in 82 innings pitched.

• Enhanced motivation. The Colorado Rockies have lost six of the team’s last eight games.

Why the Arizona Diamondbacks will win.

• Home field edge. Arizona has played competitive baseball (36–26) at Chase Field this season.

• Offensive balance. Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte provide a strong core to the Diamondbacks lineup.

• Recent form. The Diamondbacks have won three of the team’s last five games.

Colorado Rockies vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction

In my opinion, this matchup favors the Arizona Diamondbacks. Why? Arizona starting pitcher Merrill Kelly has pitched at a high level recently, allowing two earned runs or fewer in six of his last seven starts made in 2026. Colorado hurler Ryan Feltner arrives at this contest in rather poor form, allowing five earned runs or more in two of his last four starts made this season. With that said, the Diamondbacks are the clear side to be on in this one. I am backing the Arizona Diamondbacks on the moneyline in this game.
