In their last series the White Sox took on the Cleveland Guardians. Chicago won 8-2 in the Wednesday matchup but dropped the other pair 7-6 and 8-4. The White Sox beat the Marlins 3-2 in the opener of the weekend set. On Saturday Chicago blew a 3-0 lead in an eventual 4-3 defeat. Starter Garrett Crochet posted two earned in 4.0 innings on five hits and three walks.

I’ll lean toward the White Sox I suppose. Cannon had a pretty miserable outing versus the Tigers back on June 23, giving up five earned on seven hits in one inning during a loss. In the other two of his last three appearances however, Cannon is 1-0 with three earned combined over 14.1 total innings.

On Saturday the White Sox got off to a great start but the offense couldn’t do anything at all after the third inning. Michael Soroka (3.0 innings; two earned) didn’t have a great outing either. I think Chicago can bounce back Sunday but I’m probably not touching it.
