The Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Dodgers will meet Sunday night in a National League matchup at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Let’s take a look at this matchup from a betting perspective.

Atlanta Braves Betting Preview

The Atlanta Braves enter Sunday’s contest with a 94-68 overall record (1st in the National League East) and a 42-39 mark on the road. The Braves offense has been elite in 2026. Atlanta has compiled 742 runs scored (8th in MLB), 204 home runs and a .246 team batting which ranks tenth in Major League Baseball.

The Braves arrive at this postseason contest in good form, winning three of the team’s last five games played this season, including a 6-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies three days ago.

The Atlanta Braves will turn to right hander Tyler Mahle in this game. In 27 starts made in 2026, Mahle has compiled a 7-10 win-loss record, a 3.99 ERA, a 1.23 WHIP and 137 strikeouts in 149 innings pitched. Tyler Mahle performed at a high level in his most recent outing, allowing one earned run while scattering six hits and striking out six batters across seven innings pitched in the Philadelphia Phillies 4-3 defeat of the Braves five days ago. Mahle will look to continue his recent success on the mound in tomorrow night’s playoff matchup with the Dodgers.

Shifting our focus to the Braves offense, the Atlanta lineup The Atlanta Braves lineup features first baseman Matt Olson and outfielder Michael Harris II. Matt Olson has amassed 40 home runs and 89 RBIs this season, while Michael Harris has compiled a .289 batting average.

Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Dodgers enter Sunday’s contest with a 100-62 overall record (1st in the National League West) and a rather impressive 51-30 mark at home. Los Angeles arrives at this contest in good form, winning the team’s last four games, including a 5-1 win over the San Francisco Giants last month.

The Dodgers will start left hander Blake Snell in this contest. Snell has compiled a 4-1 win-loss record, a 1.90 ERA, a 1.10 WHIP and 55 strikeouts in 42.2 innings pitched. Blake Snell has pitched exceptionally well in 2026, allowing one earned run or less in eight of his last nine starts made this season this season.

The Dodgers lineup features Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman. Ohtani has tallied 30 home runs, 80 RBIs, a .277 batting average and a robust .902 OPS which ranks fifth in Major League Baseball. Freeman has compiled a .292 batting average, 16 home runs, 67 RBIs, 32 doubles and an .806 OPS.

Why the Atlanta Braves will win.

• Ability to win on the road. The Atlanta Braves have played competitive baseball on the road, amassing a 42-39 mark away from home.

Why the Los Angeles Dodgers will win.

• Home field advantage. The Los Angeles Dodgers have compiled a 51-30 record at Dodger Stadium.

• Starting pitching. Blake Snell has compiled a 4-1 win-loss record, a 1.90 ERA, a 1.10 WHIP and 55 strikeouts in 42.2 innings pitched.

Atlanta Braves vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction

In my view, this matchup favors the Los Angeles Dodgers. Why? Los Angeles starting pitcher Blake Snell has pitched exceptionally well in 2026, allowing one earned run or less in eight of his nine starts made this season, while Atlanta hurler Tyler Mahle has been far more inconsistent which is a concern when facing a formidable Dodgers lineup. Additionally, Los Angeles has played elite baseball at home, amassing a robust 51-30 win-loss record at Dodger Stadium. For the reasons just noted, I am backing the Los Angeles Dodgers on the moneyline in this game.
