The Baltimore Orioles went 91-71 last season, and they finished second in the AL East, three games behind the Yankees. Baltimore did make the postseason, but they were swept in the Wild Card round by the Royals, where they scored just one run in two games. The Orioles finished the regular season with plenty of momentum after winning seven of their last ten games, but it was a very disappointing series loss to Kansas City. In Spring Training this year, Baltimore went just 13-14, and they finished by going 3-3-1 in their last seven games.

The projected starting pitcher for Baltimore is Zach Eflin, who went 5-2 with a 2.60 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP over 55.1 innings pitched for the Orioles last season.
Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview
The Toronto Blue Jays were 74-88 last year, and they finished dead last in the AL East, which was 20 games behind the Yankees. Toronto didn’t have much luck in the 2024 season, and they were ninth in the American League, only in front of the A’s, Angels, and White Sox. The Blue Jays really fell apart at the end of the season, as they lost 10 of their final 12 games. On a positive note, Toronto went 18-10 during Spring Training, which was first in the Grapefruit League. The Blue Jays finished the Spring by winning each of their last four games and six of their last eight.
Last year, the Toronto pitching staff had a 4.29 ERA, a 1.27 WHIP, and a .243 opponent batting average. The Blue Jays' offense scored 671 runs with a .241 batting average and a .313 on-base percentage last season. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. led Toronto with a .323 batting average, 30 home runs, and 103 RBIs in the 2024 season. Baltimore Orioles vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction
Baltimore comes into this season looking to replicate their success from 2024 but also trying to bounce back from an ugly postseason series against Kansas City. The Orioles fell just short in their quest for an AL East title, but they should have another very good team this season. Toronto had a disappointing season last year, and they will turn to Berrios to try and start 2025 with a win. The Blue Jays need to find more consistent offense this year, as they were just 23rd in the MLB in runs scored last season. This should be a great AL East battle to open the season, but I have to side with Baltimore, as I don’t trust the Toronto offense at all to start the season.
