Starting Pitching Matchup
The Chicago Cubs will send out Shota Imanaga for the start here and Imanaga is 12-3 with a 2.99 ERA and 155 strikeouts this season. This will be Imanaga’s second career start against the Dodgers. Chicago Cubs Recap
The Chicago Cubs come into this one looking to add on to their strong showing to start the series thanks to a 10-4 win over the Dodgers in Monday’s series opener. The win gave the Cubs a good chance at bouncing back from their series losses to the Yankees and Pirates over the last week and a half.

Cody Bellinger has 120 hits including 23 doubles, 16 home runs and 63 RBIs. Nico Hoerner has 134 hits, 30 doubles and a .260 batting average. Cubs vs. Dodgers Prediction
I’m going to side with the Cubs here. I just like what Imanaga’s given the Cubs in a lot of recent starts and even in some spots where he’s struggled, Imanaga’s offense has been there to lift him up. The Dodgers have had issues with consistency at times down the stretch and the Cubs have a lot more to lose in a spot like this so I’m expecting their best effort here. Give me the Cubs in this one.
