The Houston Astros and the San Francisco Giants meet Monday in MLB action from Oracle Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Houston Astros vs San Francisco Giants Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Houston Astros will start Spencer Arrighetti here and Arrighetti is 3-5 with a 5.79 ERA and 55 strikeouts this season. This will be Arrighetti’s first career start against San Francisco. The San Francisco Giants will trot out Kyle Harrison here and Harrison is 4-3 with a 4.18 ERA and 65 strikeouts this season. This will be Harrison’s first career start against the Astros.

Houston Astros Recap

The Houston Astros will look to bounce back after failing to complete the sweep of the Los Angeles Angels over the weekend thanks to a 9-7 loss in Sunday’s series finale. The series win over the Halos still gives Houston back-to-back series wins after starting the week with a series win over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Astros Still Putting Up Decent Numbers As Of Late

Jose Altuve has 80 hits and a .297 batting average with 10 home runs, 25 RBIs and 12 doubles while Kyle Tucker has a team-high 19 homers with 11 doubles and 40 RBIs. Yordan Alvarez also has 13 homers with 33 RBIs and 15 doubles while Tucker has the Astros’ team lead with 10 stolen bases so far this season. Jeremy Pena also has 76 hits and a .300 batting average as well this season.

Thairo Estrada leads the Giants with 59 hits along with a team-high 8 home runs and 32 RBIs while also chipping in 12 doubles. Houston Astros vs San Francisco Giants Prediction

I’m on the over here. I don’t trust this starting matchup whatsoever. I don’t trust Spencer Arrighetti despite a couple of decent outings as of late as this guy has gotten rung up more often than not in his debut season while Harrison’s started to struggle in the last month and the Astros have historically been a strong team against left-handed pitching, which doesn’t bode well for Harrison as a starter that’s giving up a lot of hard contact as of late. I think we’re headed for a lot of runs in this one. Give me the over.
