I’ll probably take a stab on Winthrop, but you could call this one either way. The Eagles didn’t close well versus George Mason in their last game, shooting just 38.8 percent from the field with a 44-28 rebounding deficit. Winthrop did some things well in that defeat however, namely the 25-of-29 (86.2 percent) from the line and the six turnovers. Still, the Eagles lost the game on the glass in a pretty rough outcome. The scoring has been good through two games so far though, with Winthrop notching a combined 171 points in that pair.

As for Coastal Carolina, they demolished an overmatched VA Lynchburg team in their last outing to the tune of 55.4 percent shooting an insane 71-24 rebounding advantage, 23 team assists and a 52-10 edge in the paint. The big blowout win should give the Chanticleers some much-needed confidence after fading against Western Michigan in their opener.
