Weber State Wildcats Betting Preview
Last year the Wildcats carved out a 20-12 overall run and went 11-7 in the Big Sky to finish behind only Eastern Washington, Northern Colorado, and Montana in the standings. Weber State would eventually fall to Montana State in the opener of the conference tournament, though.
In their opener matchup of the 2024-25 campaign, the Wildcats played Northwest Indian College. Weber State was up 62-15 by halftime and cruised to the win 118-35. Dyson Koehler put up 22 points with eight rebounds, and Blaise Threatt had 14 points with seven assists.
Oregon State Beavers Betting Preview
Over on the Oregon State side, they managed to go just 13-19 overall last year with a 5-15 run in the Pac-12. The Beavers finished firmly in last place with that effort, three games behind Arizona State. Oregon State’s final game was a loss to UCLA in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament.
Matched up against Utah Tech in their 2024-25 opener, the Beavers took a 38-31 edge into the second half. Oregon State scored 42 more points from there in an 80-57 win. Damarco Minor was tops in scoring with 23 points, five rebounds, and two assists.

Weber State vs Oregon State Prediction
I’ll lean toward Weber State. The Wildcats had an easy opener game versus Northwest Indian, shooting 59 percent from the field and 52.8 percent (19-of-36) from 3-point range. Weber State held a 59-38 rebounding advantage and committed just seven turnovers. Friday’s game will obviously be much tougher, but the confidence will help.
As for Oregon State, they shot 50 percent from the field with a 39-35 rebounding edge over Utah Tech. The Beavers shot a tepid 6-of-24 (25 percent) from outside and missed six of their 16 free throws, however. This should be a pretty good matchup overall, and it’ll tell us quite a bit about where each team stands in the early going. All things considered, I like Weber State to power out the cover.
