That gives Seattle a 6-2 overall run across eight games so far this season.

Matched up against Puget Sound on Wednesday. Seattle had few issues in a 97-43 blowout victory. The Redhawks’ top scorer was Jojo Murphy, who came off the bench for 18 points, four rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes of action. Tops among starters was Brayden Maldonado with 11 points and one assist, while Houran Dan had 10 points with five boards in just 11 minutes of action during the winning effort for Seattle.

I’ll stick with Seattle. The Redhawks cruised past an overmatched Puget Sound team in their latest win, shooting a nice 49 percent from the field while holding the Loggers to just 27 percent on the other side. Seattle did hit a tepid 5-of-19 (26 percent) from 3-point range though, and shot 65 percent (26-of-40) from the line. The 56-22 rebounding advantage helped erase any shooting difficulties, though. Seattle is scoring quite well this year; they’ve hit 71 or more points in all but one game so far.

As for UTEP, they didn’t shoot terribly (41 percent) in their latest loss to UAB, but the 46-22 rebounding deficit really hurt. The Miners also had 13 turnovers and got outscored 40-14 on points in the paint. UTEP has been below 64 points in all four of their losses this year, and below 60 in three of those. The Miners will likely have trouble keeping pace with Seattle in this one.
