Georgetown Hoyas Betting Preview

The Georgetown Hoyas enter Saturday’s contest with a 9–8 win‑loss record, including a 7–3 mark at home and a 1–5 record in Big East play. Georgetown has compiled wins over Coppin State, Marquette, Wagner and the Clemson Tigers, while losing games to Seton Hall, DePaul, and the Miami Hurricanes. Three days ago, in the Georgetown Hoyas 86-83 overtime loss to the Creighton Blue Jays, Georgetown guard Malik Mack tallied 17 points (7 of 10 shooting from the field), 2 rebounds and 4 assists illustrating his ability to lead the Hoyas backcourt.

The Georgetown Hoyas averages 77.5 points per game on 43.6 percent shooting from the field and 31.2 percent shooting from behind the arc per game. On the defensive side of the basketball, the Hoyas are allowing opponents 74.7 points on 43.2 percent shooting from the field per game.

Junior KJ Lewis leads the Georgetown Hoyas averaging 15 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.1 steals per game. Sophomore forward Caleb Williams is averaging 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per contest. Junior guard Malik Mack provides the Hoya with further backcourt stability averaging 14.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1 steal per game.

Connecticut Huskies Betting Preview

The Connecticut Huskies enter Saturday afternoon’s contest with a 17–1 win‑loss record, including a 5–0 mark on the road and a 7-0 record in conference play. The Huskies have compiled wins over New Haven, UMass‑Lowell, Columbia, BYU, Bryant, Illinois, Kansas, East Texas A&M, and Florida, while dropping a close game to Arizona. In the Connecticut Huskies 61-56 win over the Kansas Jayhawks last month, Connecticut guard Braylon Mullins amassed 17 points on 6 of 12 shooting from the field and 3 of 9 from three-point range.

The Connecticut Huskies average 79.3 points on 49.4 percent shooting from the field (23rd in nation) and 35.7 percent shooting from the three-point line per game. The Huskies are allowing opponents 63.3 points (7th in nation) on 38.7 percent shooting from the field (8th in country) per game.

Junior guard Solo Ball leads the Connecticut Huskies backcourt averaging 14.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.7 steals per game. Junior guard Silas Demary Jr. adds 10.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.2 and 1.7 assists per contest. Senior center Tarris Reed Jr. provides a strong interior presence averaging 14.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.1 steals and 2 blocks per game.

Why the Georgetown Hoyas will win

•              Home court advantage. The Georgetown Hoyas are 7–3 at home this season.

•              Enhanced motivation. The Hoyas arrive at tomorrow’s contest on the heels of a four-game losing streak.

•              Balanced scoring. The Hoyas have five players that are averaging over 10 points per game in 2025.

Why the Connecticut Huskies will win

•            Ability to win on the road The Connecticut Huskies are undefeated (5-0 ) on the road this season.

•            Balanced roster. Ball, Demary Jr. and Reed Jr. provide scoring, playmaking and a strong interior presence.

•            Defensive edge. The Huskies are allowing opponents 63.3 points (7th in nation) on 38.7 percent shooting from the field (8th in nation) per game.

Georgetown Hoyas vs. Connecticut Huskies Prediction

The Connecticut Huskies enter tomorrow afternoon’s contest with one of the strongest efficiency profiles in the country, averaging 79.3 points per game while allowing just 63.3 per contest. Conversely, the Georgetown Hoyas defense has been far less formidable in 2025 allowing 74.7 points per game. In my view, the Connecticut Huskies are a far superior basketball team to the Hoyas at this point of the season. With that said, I am backing the Connecticut Huskies to pull away in the second half and win this game rather easily.
