Tulane Green Wave Betting Preview

The Wave managed to win four of their first five games this year, dispatching Louisiana Christian, LA-Monroe, Alcorn State, and Bethune-Cookman in that time. It’s been losses to New Orleans, Wyoming, Belmont, and SE Louisiana since then, however.

In the Monday game versus SE Louisiana, the Green Wave came out of the break with a 31-25 deficit. Tulane got slightly better from there but still lost 71-67. Kam Williams was tops on 19 points with four rebounds and three steals in the losing effort.

George Mason Patriots Betting Preview

Over on the George Mason side, they went a shaky 2-3 over their first five with losses to Marquette, Central Michigan, and East Carolina. The Patriots have since won four straight over Coppin State, Ferrum, James Madison, and UNC Asheville.

In the UNC Asheville game, the Patriots didn’t have much trouble. George Mason was up by eight at halftime, then hit a 40-26 run the rest of the way for a 74-52 victory. Jalen Haynes led the team with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Tulane vs George Mason Prediction

I’ll likely just stay with George Mason. The Patriots pummeled UNC Asheville in their last outing, hitting a scorching 62.8 percent from the field with a 36-20 rebounding edge. George Mason does have a couple of things to clean up, though: specifically the 14-of-23 (60.9 percent) from the line and the 18 turnovers. That said, outside of the Marquette loss (82-63) the Patriots have been very competitive in every game so far.

As for Tulane, they were out-rebounded 38-32 by SE Louisiana in their last game and posted 14 turnovers in the loss. The Green Wave has been below 68 points in three straight games, and they’ve given up a combined 160 points in their last pair. George Mason should have plenty of good looks in this one.
