Toledo Rockets Betting Preview
The Rockets posted a 9-6 run over their first 15 games this year, then lost to Miami-OH, Kent State, UMass and Akron over the next seven. It’s been a 3-3 run since then with losses to Kent State, James Madison and Bowling Green alongside wins over Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois. That makes for a 15-13 overall run in 28 games so far.
In the Northern Illinois game on Tuesday the Rockets were sitting in the locker room with a 36-31 advantage. Toledo hit a 43-38 run in the second half and ended up powering out a 79-69 victory in the end on their home court. Sonny Wilson led the team with his 17 points and seven assists, while Austin Parks and Mynor Strong each chipped in with 14 points apiece.
Ohio Bobcats Betting Preview
Over on the Ohio side, they kicked off the season on a 10-7 run through 17 games. Losses in four of the next five came versus Toledo, Ball State, Akron and Kent State. The last six outings have been a 4-2 run though, as Ohio has taken out Buffalo, Western Michigan, Ball State and Northern Illinois in that time. Over 28 games so far that makes for a 15-13 record in the books.
Matched up against Northern Illinois last weekend the Bobcats came out of the break with a 37-25 advantage on the scoreboard. Ohio was outscored 41-37 the rest of the way but held on for the victory in a road matchup 74-66 as the game came to an end. Javan Simmons put up 23 points with seven rebounds and three steals along the way, while Jackson Paveletske had 14 points with six assists.

Toledo vs Ohio Prediction
I’ll lean toward Ohio but this should be a good game. The Bobcats played pretty well in a road win over Northern Illinois last weekend, hitting 48.1 percent from the field with a 27-25 rebounding edge and just six turnovers. Ohio did give up 50 percent shooting on defense, though. The Bobcats are 4-2 in their last six games and they’ve scored 69 or more points in all of those outings.
These teams last met up back on January 13 in a 101-85 road loss for the Bobcats. In that defeat Ohio shot a nice 50 percent from the field but also gave up 61.9 percent shooting to the Rockets. The Bobcats were also outmuscled on the boards 30-24 and in the paint 52-38 alongside 11 turnovers. Ohio has a lot of tightening up to do for the home rematch.
