Citadel Bulldogs Betting Preview
The Citadel kicked off their 2024-25 season on a pretty reasonable run, but they’ve fallen on hard times since mid-December thanks to a lengthy losing stretch. The Bulldogs took out Erskine, Stetson, North Greenville, St. Andrews, and Toccoa Falls during a 5-3 start, with losses otherwise versus Boston College, North Carolina A&T, and Charleston. Since then, however, the Bulldogs have lost 10 straight games. Those defeats have come in succession at the hands of Campbell, Central Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Samford, Chattanooga, Furman, East Tennessee State, UNC Greensboro, and VMI. The result so far has been a 5-12 record on the season.
In their latest outing versus VMI over the weekend, the Bulldogs came out of the break looking up at a 41-36 edge on the scoreboard. The Citadel kept the pace from there on a 34-34 run but couldn’t make the comeback on a 75-70 loss. Brody Fox led the starters with 18 points, five rebounds, and six assists. Colby McAllister added 18 points with seven rebounds and a pair of steals. Christian Moore also finished in double-digits with 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists in 31 minutes of work off the bench.
Wofford Terriers Betting Preview
Over on the Terriers’ side, they conversely started out the season on a tough stretch through their first 11 outings. Wofford has looked good since then, however. During a 4-7 opening run, the Terriers beat Erskine, St. Thomas MN, North Alabama, and Gardner-Webb alongside losses to Lipscomb, Presbyterian, Duke, Milwaukee, Portland State, Elon, and Charleston. Wofford has gone 7-2 since then however losing to only UNC Greensboro and Chattanooga among wins otherwise versus Saint Louis, Kentucky Christian, East Tennessee State, Western Carolina, Furman, and Mercer for a 10-9 overall run through the first 19 outings of the year.
In the Mercer matchup on Saturday, the Terriers held a modest 26-23 edge by the break. Wofford hit a 43-26 run the rest of the way, however, resulting in a 69-49 victory in the end. Justin Bailey was the leading scorer in that one with 18 points and three rebounds. Dillon Bailey added 13 points with one rebound and one assist, while Corey Tripp also finished in double-digits with 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists.

The Citadel vs Wofford Prediction
I’ll stick with Wofford, but the line’s a bit too thick to mess with. The Terriers didn’t start out very hot against a middling Mercer team in their last outing, however, they were able to close strong. Wofford finished with 42.6 percent shooting and a 41-36 rebounding edge in the eventual 20-point victory. The only real blemish came at the line, where the Terriers mustered just 13-of-21 (61.9 percent). Still, it’s been a nice stretch of games for Wofford since December 18 or so. They’ve posted 69 or more points in five straight outings (a 4-1 run) as well.
As for the Citadel, they shot well (47.3 percent) in their loss to VMI over the weekend but also got out-rebounded 36-30 and hit just 10-of-18 (55.6 percent) from the line themselves. The Bulldogs have been below 64 points in three of their last four games while giving up 70 or more in eight of their last nine. Wofford should have plenty of room to score in this one.
