The Saint Francis Red Flash come into this game looking to make some noise in their final D-I season before re-classifying to D-III next season. The 2024-25 season though, resulted in a 16-18 record including an 8-8 mark in NEC play. Saint Francis would take down Wagner, LIU and Central Connecticut to win the NEC’s berth in the NCAA tournament by virtue of their conference tournament championship. The stay at the big dance was short-lived as the Red Flash would get bounced by Alabama State in the first round. Jack McConnell has his hands full after taking over for Rob Krimmel, who led the magical run to the tournament last season and then subsequently stepped down. Ahmad Harrison transfers in from D-III after logging 13.8 PPG and 5.7 RPG last season, but outside of that it’s tough to gauge where the production will come from. Zion Russell and Sky Wicks transfer in from Niagara and UTSA, but there’s still a lot that needs to go right for Saint Francis to have anything go their way this season.

Oklahoma Sooners Recap

The Oklahoma Sooners come into the 2025-26 season looking to build on a decent 2024-25 season, finishing 20-14 overall, including a 6-12 mark in SEC conference play. Oklahoma would beat Georgia in the first round of the SEC tournament before falling by one point to Kentucky in the second round. Oklahoa would get invited to the NCAA tournament because the SEC was loaded last year, but the stay would be short-lived as Oklahoma would be bounced by UConn in the first round. The Sooners did lose a lot of top-end talent from last year’s team, including Jeremiah Fears, Jalon Moore, Duke Miles, Brycen Goodine and Kobe Elvis. However, there’s replacements coming in the form of Xzayvier Brown (17.6 PPG, 5.2 RPG and 4.3 APG at Saint Joseph’s), Tae Davis (15.1 PPG and 5.3 RPG at Notre Dame) and Nijel Pack (13.9 PPG, 3 RPG and 4.3 APG at Miami) as well as Jadon Jones, who missed last season but had 12.1 PPG and 3.3 RPG in 2023-24 at Long Beach State. There’s a lot to like about Oklahoma if the new adds can gel early on this year and make it back to the big dance.
