St. Bonaventure Bonnies Betting Preview
Last year the Bonnies posted a pretty solid 20-13 overall record but went just 9-9 in A-10 games. St. Bonaventure landed near the middle of the pack in the standings with that effort. After wins versus La Salle and Loyola in the conference tourney, the Bonnies fell to Duquesne in the semifinals.
The Bonnies got off to a good start this year with a matchup versus CSU Northridge. St. Bonaventure posted 31 points in the first half and 39 more from there in a 70-56 win. Chance Moore was tops on the team with 18 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.
Canisius Golden Griffins Betting Preview
Over on the Canisius side, they limped to a 14-18 overall record last year with an 8-12 record in the MAAC. The Griffins landed ahead of only Manhattan and Siena in the standings. Canisius beat Mount St. Mary’s in the opener of the MAAC Tournament then lost to Quinnipiac.
In their first game of the season versus Arizona, the Griffins were overmatched. Canisius was down by 22 points at the break and didn’t get closer in a 93-64 defeat. Paul McMillian topped the team with 20 points, and Dylan Godfrey added 13 points with three boards.

St. Bonaventure vs Canisius Prediction
I’ll lean toward the Bonnies. St. Bonaventure didn’t shoot very well in their win over CSU Northridge, notching 36.4 percent from the floor and 21.9 percent (7-of-32) from 3-point range. The Bonnies did secure 40 rebounds with 10 steals, however, and benefitted from 21 Matadors turnovers.
As for Canisius, they didn’t shoot too badly (43.1 percent) in their loss to Arizona. That said, the Griffins were out-rebounded 43-25 (17-5 offensive) and committed 19 turnovers. Saturday’s matchup will be much easier but I don’t quite think Canisius will cover. The Bonnies have to shoot better here, though.
