Sacramento State Hornets Betting Preview
The Hornets beat Dominican CA and Jessup University in their first two outings, then lost to UC Santa Barbara and UC Davis from there. Sac State went just 2-4 over the next six games with wins over Presbyterian and San Francisco State. The losses were versus UCLA, California, Pacific and Baylor. That would give the Hornets a 4-6 record over 10 games this year.
In the Cal Baptist matchup on Saturday the Hornets carried a four-point deficit into the second half. Sac State didn’t get any closer than that on a 36-33 second half and lost the game 74-67 in the end. Jahni Summers led the team with 21 points and four rebounds while Mikey Williams had 18 points with five assists and three boards as the only other player in double-digits.

Sacramento State vs Cal State Northridge Prediction
I’ll stay with the Matadors. Cal State Northridge rolled right past an overmatched La Sierra team in their latest outing, despite hitting just 39.1 percent from the field and 8-of-15 (53.3 percent) from the line. CSUN held a 60-34 advantage on the boards however, and a 50-10 edge on points in the paint during the win. The Matadors have put up 88 or more points during each installment of this current three-game win streak.
As for Sac State, they shot pretty miserably (36.6 percent) versus Cal Baptist in their latest defeat. The Hornets got outmuscled on the boards 40-37 and had a 32-16 deficit on points in the paint as well. That makes three straight losses for Sacramento State, and they’ve given up a combined 184 points in their last two games.
