Rider Broncs Betting Preview
The Broncs have only had a couple of good runs so far this year (however brief), but to their credit, they’re doing better lately. Rider opened on a 4-11 stretch, then beat Niagara, Mount St. Mary’s, and Marist in succession. After that came a 3-7 record with wins versus Saint Peter’s, Siena, and Iona mixed among losses to Iona, Quinnipiac, Merrimack, Sacred Heart, Saint Peter’s, Fairfield, and Mount St. Mary’s. Since then, however, it’s been four straight wins for the Broncs over Merrimack, Canisius, Niagara, and Siena. That gives Rider a 14-18 overall run through 32 games so far.
In their matchup versus Siena, the Broncs were down 38-36 going into the second half. Rider eventually rallied to power out 42 points in the second half and took the comeback victory in the end 78-76. Tariq Ingraham led the team on a double-double with 19 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists. Flash Burton added 17 points with two rebounds and two assists, while TJ Weeks also doubled on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Quinnipiac Bobcats Betting Preview
Over on the Quinnipiac side, they had a rough opening run but they’ve been playing much better overall since late December. The Bobcats kicked things off on a 5-7 stretch, then beat Hofstra, Saint Peter’s, Siena, Iona, Merrimack, Mount St. Mary’s, Rider, and Fairfield in the next nine games. A 1-2 run came next with losses to Siena and Niagara, then a 5-2 run over the next seven featuring losses to only Merrimack and Fairfield. The wins in that time came versus Sacred Heart, Iona, Manhattan, Saint Peter’s, and Mount St. Mary’s, giving the Bobcats a 19-12 overall record across 31 games this year so far.
In the Fairfield matchup on the road Saturday, the Bobcats held a 37-37 tie at halftime. Quinnipiac was outscored 46-37 the rest of the way, however, and ended up falling 83-74. Richie Springs carved out a double-double in the defeat, with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Jaden Zimmerman added 14 points with two rebounds, and Ryan Mabrey put up 14 points with three rebounds and two steals in 27 minutes of work off the bench.

Rider vs Quinnipiac Prediction
I’ll lean toward Quinnipiac, but they’ve got to bounce back from their listless loss to Fairfield in this one. The Bobcats shot a tepid 41 percent from the field versus the Stags, alongside 16 turnovers for 21 Fairfield points. Quinnipiac held the rebounding advantage 42-36 but also gave up 48.5 percent shooting on the other side. The bad news is that the Bobcats have lost two of their last three games; the good news is that they’ve scored 69 or more points in six of their last seven—a 5-2 run.
These teams have played twice this year already, with Quinnipiac taking wins both times. The Bobcats got the road victory 72-67 on December 6 and the home win 75-64 on January 25. In that latest matchup Quinnipiac started slowly but ended up shooting 47.5 percent from the field with 37 rebounds and 19 team assists. Rider’s coming off a nice victory on Tuesday but I don’t think they’ll be able to topple the Bobcats in a tournament matchup.
