Radford vs San Francisco Prediction
I’ll take a stab on Radford but I could go either way. The Highlanders don’t have any players on the roster who are heading into their final year of eligibility, so this season could be the start of a nice multi-year run if all goes well. Look for Ja’Corey Robinson (6.6 PPG at Austin Peay) to take a sizable role as a balanced player.
As for San Francisco, they don’t have a ton of expectations this season after completely flipping their roster around. The Dons do have the potential to find a bit of success immediately however, as they made it a point in the offseason to find experienced names. Four players will come in from overseas, including freshman Yoav Vitlem. If nothing else, they’ll be interesting to watch this year.

Radford Highlanders Betting Preview
Radford managed to carve out a .500 campaign a season ago, going 16-16 overall. The Highlanders did slightly better in Big South games at 9-7, which put them behind only High Point and Winthrop in the standings. Radford finished off the regular season on a 1-2 run, then fell to Presbyterian in overtime during the first game of the Big South Tournament.
Moving on to the 2026-27 season, the Highlanders lose all five starters from last season—the first for head coach Zach Chu. It’ll be a relatively young roster, but most of the guys have some key experience. Senior Tristan Gross (4.2 PPG at Mercer) will be one of those players who will help with chemistry and leadership as the Highlanders attempt to improve this year.
San Francisco Dons Betting Preview
Over on the Dons’ side, they had a similar year in the overall record column (17-16) but didn’t perform quite as well in conference games (8-10). San Francisco finished in fifth place among the West Coast standings behind Gonzaga, Saint Mary’s, Santa Clara and Oregon State. The Dons beat Portland in the WCC Tournament before a loss to Oregon State in the quarterfinal.
This year the Dons retain head coach Chris Gerlufsen for his fifth season. San Francisco—like so many other teams these days—will be working with a fresh group of starters, though. As a matter of fact, the Dons will have just 0.5 percent of their points, 0.8 percent of their rebounds and 1.4 percent of their minutes back on the roster in 2026-27.
