Quinnipiac Bobcats Betting Preview
The Bobcats were a sub-.500 team at the beginning of the new calendar year, but since then they’ve rattled off a string of victories to surge past that mark. Quinnipiac opened the season on a 3-5 run, falling to Yale, St. John’s, UMass Lowell, Saint Louis, and Stonehill along the way. A 4-3 stretch came after that, featuring wins over Rider, Sacred Heart, Hofstra, and Saint Peter’s amid losses to Holy Cross, Central Connecticut, and Marist. Since then it’s been six straight wins over Siena, Iona, Merrimack, Mount St. Mary’s, Rider, and Fairfield, giving Quinnipiac a 13-8 overall record through the first 21 games of the 2024-25 season.Â
In the Fairfield matchup on Friday, the Bobcats left the locker room with a 36-34 edge. Quinnipiac got better from there on a 45-35 run and took the eventual victory 81-69. Amarri Monroe led the way on 27 points with 10 boards and two assists. Paul Otieno also doubled up, totaling 15 points with 13 rebounds and two assists in 35 minutes of work on the floor.Â
Siena Saints Betting Preview
Over on the Siena side, they’ve had a few very brief runs of solid play this year but other than that it’s been a real struggle in the record column. The Saints opened with three straight victories, then fell to Albany, Xavier, Miami OH, Jacksonville, Niagara, St. Bonaventure, and Holy Cross during a 2-7 run. Otherwise, the wins would have been over Bucknell and Canisius. Siena would go 4-3 over the next seven with wins over Cornell, Manhattan, Sacred Heart, and Mount St. Mary’s among losses to Iona, Quinnipiac, and Merrimack. After two more losses to Iona and Marist, the Saints are sitting at a sketchy 9-12 overall record so far this season.Â
Matched up against Marist on the last day of January, the Saints held a seven-point deficit going into the second half. Siena hit a 41-39 advantage the rest of the way but it wasn’t enough in a 72-67 loss. Gavin Doty led the team with 19 points, eight rebounds, and two steals, while Justice Shoats also had 19 points with two steals and two assists. Major Freeman chipped in 13 points with three boards as well.Â

Quinnipiac vs Siena PredictionÂ
I’ll lean toward Quinnipiac. The Bobcats didn’t have too many issues versus Fairfield in their last outing, hitting 43.9 percent from the field with 21-of-26 (80.8 percent) from the line alongside a 41-28 rebounding edge. Quinnipiac held the Stags to just 35.4 percent shooting on the other side but did cough up 11 turnovers for 14 Fairfield points. That makes 72 or more points in five of the six games during this current winning streak.Â
These teams last saw each other back on January 10 in a home win 72-53 for Quinnipiac. The Bobcats dominated that one, posting a 42-25 rebounding advantage, 13 team assists, 11-of-13 (84.6 percent) from the line and 47.5 percent shooting to the Saints 29.7 percent. It wasn’t the prettiest of games though, as each team coughed up 11 turnovers (which Quinnipiac turned into 18 points). Siena may do better at home in the rematch, but Quinnipiac should still be in control.Â
