Pacific Tigers Betting Preview
The Tigers beat Life Pacific in their first outing of the year, then hit a 2-2 stretch that featured losses to Nevada and Florida Atlantic bookended around wins versus Long Beach State and Cal State Fullerton. Pacific would win the next three games though, taking out Stony Brook, Jacksonville and Sacramento State on the way to a 6-2 run across their first eight games through the month of November.
In their Wednesday game nine versus Air Force, the Tigers managed to power out an 80-65 victory at Clune Arena. Pacific’s top scorer was Elias Ralph with 31 points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Kajus Kublickas added 13 points with seven assists and six rebounds, while Jaden Clayton had 13 points with three steals in 26 minutes of work off the bench during the winning effort for Pacific.
California Golden Bears Betting Preview
Over on the Bears’ side, they’ve got just one blemish on the card so far this year. California opened with three straight wins over Cal State Bakersfield, Wright State and Cal State Fullerton, then took a loss to Kansas State. The last four games have all been wins for the Golden Bears though, as they’ve made it past Presbyterian, Sac State, UCLA and Utah in that time. That gives Cal a 7-1 record across their first eight outings of the season.
In their latest outing versus Utah, the Bears came into the second half with a 42-34 edge. California hit a 38-37 deficit in the second but still powered out the victory in the end 79-72. Leading the team was Dai Dai Ames with 25 points in 32 minutes. Justin Pippen was close behind on 23 points with three rebounds and two assists, while John Camden added 13 points with four rebounds in 30 minutes during the victory effort.

Pacific vs California Prediction
I’ll stick with Cal. The Bears pulled off another nice win on Tuesday versus Utah at Haas Pavilion. California shot 45.5 percent from the field in that one with a 30-27 rebounding edge. The key stat however, was the excellent 22-of-24 success rate from the line. Since their three-point loss versus Kansas State on November 13, the Golden Bears are looking good with four straight wins. In each of their last three games, Cal has put up 79 or more points as well.
As for Pacific, they were able to take care of a struggling Air Force team in a road matchup this week, shooting 53 percent from the field and 90 percent (18-of-20) from the line. The Tigers held advantages on rebounding 35-22 and on points in the paint 48-26 but hit a tepid 27 percent (4-of-15) from 3-point range. Pacific will give Cal some trouble if they can stay on point; the Tigers have won four straight games now.
