The Pats did pretty well on the boards with a 32-25 advantage but they gave up 47.4 percent shooting to the Hokies on the other side. George Mason had scored 74 or more points in each of the previous five games, with 82 or more in three of those outings.

As for Old Dominion, they couldn’t keep pace with a solid Richmond team in their last outing either. The Monarchs shot just 37.5 percent from the field in the nine-point loss with just 7-of-29 (24.1 percent) from outside and a 50-34 disadvantage in the paint. Otherwise the team didn’t play too badly. Still, during this four-game losing streak the Monarchs have given up 75 or more points in each game—and 86 or more in three of them. George Mason should have plenty of scoring opportunities on Saturday.
