The Spartans had a pretty rough run back in November/December but otherwise, they’re doing pretty well overall this year. Morgan State Bears Betting Preview

Over on the Morgan State side, they got off to a decent start with a 3-2 opening run. The wins in that time came over Frostburg State, District of Columbia, and NJIT. Otherwise, it was losses to Mercyhurst and Longwood. Following a four-game losing streak with losses to North Carolina A&T, Buffalo, Towson, and UMBC in succession, the Bears hit another 3-2 stretch. Those wins came versus Central Penn, Cheyney PA, and Campbell. Morgan State would lose to Iowa State, Minnesota, and South Carolina State in the next trio before another win (in double-overtime) versus North Carolina Central. I’m going with Morgan State. Probably not touching this one, though. The Bears gave up a truckload of scoring to Howard in their last game (60.3 percent shooting) but did pretty well on offense themselves during the loss. Morgan State put up 48.6 percent from the field and held strong on the glass with 30 rebounds. That makes 68 or more points in six straight games for the Bears (a rough 2-4 stretch), but they’re hemorrhaging points on the other side.

As for Norfolk State, they’ve notched 71 or more points in six of the last seven (all six were wins), so Morgan State is going to have to push in order to stay in range. I think the Bears can do it with a quality effort, but I’m staying away.
