The Broncos would bounce back for a win 83-71 over Fort Wayne in game four, then took another loss 83-78 on the road versus South Dakota on November 16. I’m probably just going to stick with Mount St. Mary’s. The Mountaineers played a plucky second half on the road versus Maryland this week but fell just short. Mount St. Mary’s would end up shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 47.2 percent (17-of-36) from 3-point range alongside a 35-33 rebounding edge and a 26-16 advantage in the paint. The biggest trouble was the 17 turnovers, and the Mountaineers missed a handful of free throws as well (11-of-16 for 68.8 percent). Still, it was a strong effort against a much higher-profile team. Mount St. Mary’s has a few scoring duds in the books this year; they’ve been below 63 points in three of five games. If the Mountaineers can manage a 70-plus total here though, I think they’ll be fine.
