I’m just going to stay with California. In their last home game against Sacramento State, the Bears did pretty well overall with 47.2 percent shooting from the field and 39 rebounds. Cal did cough up 13 turnovers and went a tepid 26-of-39 (66.7 percent) from the line, however. That said, the Golden Bears haven’t been shy about scoring this year. They’ve hit 71 or more points in five of six games (all wins) and should post a healthy total in this one as well.

As for Mercyhurst, they’ve got a few pretty solid wins under their belt this year. The Lakers have been demolished in their three losses, however, with each coming by at least 14 points. That includes an 82-48 outcome versus Air Force on Sunday—a team that California beat 78-69 last week. The Bears should be in total control here, and shouldn’t have too many issues covering if they’re playing well.
