Little Rock Trojans Betting Preview
The Trojans have a couple of successes so far this year but they’ve been unable to stay above the .500 mark. Little Rock kicked things off on a 2-2 run with wins over Arkansas Baptist and Ball State sandwiched around losses to Milwaukee and Marquette in that time. The Trojans have since lost consecutive games, falling versus Murray State and Texas State in that pair. That gives Little Rock a rough 2-4 run so far this season.
In their latest loss last Friday versus Texas State, the Trojans came out of the locker room with a two-point deficit. Little Rock was outscored 37-30 the rest of the way however, and lost the game 65-56 in the end. Tops in scoring was Cameron Wallace with 14 points and five rebounds in 27 minutes of work on the floor. Toungthach Gatkek added 13 points with five rebounds and one assist, while Johnathan Lawson and Braxton Bayless each contributed 10 points in the losing effort for the Trojans.
Southern Illinois Salukis Betting Preview
Over on the Southern Illinois side, they were able to open up their year with consecutive wins over McKendree and Kansas City. Since then however, it’s been a 1-4 run for the Salukis. Southern Illinois beat only Delaware in that time, otherwise falling versus Nevada, North Dakota State, UAB and Memphis for a 3-4 overall record so far this season.
Matched up against Memphis on Wednesday, the Salukis were trailing 42-29 by the break. Southern Illinois didn’t end up getting any closer on a 32-29 second half and lost the game 74-58 in the end. Jalen Haynes was the only player on the team to finish in double-figures during the losing effort, notching 10 points and two boards in 21 minutes of action. Rolyns Aligbe got close though, putting up nine points and seven boards in 22 minutes.

Little Rock vs Southern Illinois Prediction
I’ll lean toward Southern Illinois. That said, there’s not a lot to get excited about here with both teams struggling in the early-going. The Salukis shot just 31 percent from the field and 13.3 percent (2-of-15) from 3-point range in their latest loss to Memphis, but did stay competitive on the boards and in the paint. Overall Southern Illinois has scored pretty well this year with 73 or more points in six of seven games. They’re giving up a lot on the other side to capable offenses, though.
As for Little Rock, they shot just 37 percent from the field with 14 turnovers and a 33-28 rebounding deficit in their latest loss to Texas State. The Trojans have been below 69 points in four straight games, but they’ve kept a couple of those matchups reasonably close. This one should be a pretty competitive game as well.
