Lindenwood Lions Betting Preview
The Lions have been a mixed bag so far this year and have been unable to stay above the .500 mark overall. Lindenwood started on a 2-2 run with wins over University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy and Charleston Southern among losses to Texas Tech and Saint Louis. Since then it’s been a pair of losses to Alabama A&M and Indiana ahead of a win over Kansas City. That gives the Lions a 3-4 record overall through four games this year.
In the Kansas City game back on November 24, the Lions were ahead 42-35 by halftime. Lindenwood hit a 38-32 run the rest of the way and took the win in the end 80-67. Tops in scoring was Jadis Jones with 19 points and 12 rebounds alongside three assists. Both Dontrez Williams (six assists; two rebounds) and Anias Futrell (five rebounds; three assists) added 13 points apiece as well.
Northern Illinois Huskies Betting Preview
Over on the Huskies’ side, they’ve had some troubles this season as well. Northern Illinois also started out on a 2-2 run with wins over LA-Monroe and Benedictine University IL sandwiched around losses to Wisconsin and Grand Canyon. The Huskies are 1-2 in the last three with a win over Loyola Chicago in between losses to Northern Iowa and Austin Peay. (A matchup versus Bellarmine last Saturday was cancelled.) Through seven games this year the Huskies own a 3-4 overall record.
Matched up against Austin Peay last Tuesday, the Huskies kicked off the game with a three-point deficit at halftime. NIU was outscored 36-21 the rest of the way and lost 77-59 in the end. Gianni Cobb led the team on 12 points and two assists. The only other team player to finish in double-digits was Makhai Valentine with 10 points and three boards.

Lindenwood vs NIU Prediction
I’ll take a stab on Lindenwood, but you could argue this one either way. The Lions beat a struggling UMKC team in their last outing thanks to 45.8 percent shooting from the field and 20-of-27 (74.1 percent) from the line. Lindenwood also had a 32-27 rebounding edge and 22 team assists but did cough up 14 turnovers along the way. Still, it was a much-needed victory after a pair of losses in which the Lions could only muster 118 combined points.
As for Northern Illinois, they shot a tepid 41.7 percent from the field and just 2-of-22 (9.1 percent) from outside in their latest loss to Austin Peay—not to mention the 7-of-17 (41.2 percent) from the line. NIU was solid in the paint with a 46-32 edge but did get out-rebounded 34-26. The Huskies have been below 60 points in three of the last five games, losing all three of those outings. They’ve got to find some offense for this one.
