Kansas State Wildcats Betting Preview
The Wildcats started out the year on a great run but they’ve struggled lately. Kansas State beat UNC Greensboro, Bellarmine, Cal, Tulsa and Mississippi State in their first five. A losing streak came next as the Wildcats fell versus Nebraska, Indiana, Bowling Green and Seton Hall. Kansas State broke the trend in their last outing with a win over Mississippi Valley State, giving the team a 6-4 run across their first 10 outings.
In the MS Valley State matchup on Monday, the Wildcats were up 55-21 at the half. Kansas State hit a 53-28 run the rest of the way for a 108-49 win. PJ Haggerty led the team on 28 points with four rebounds and David Castillo chipped in 19 points with five assists and three rebounds. Abdi Bashir put up 15 points with five assists in 16 minutes in the win as well.
Creighton Bluejays Betting Preview
Over on the Creighton side, they won three of their first four games versus Maryland Eastern Shore, South Dakota and North Dakota with a loss otherwise to Gonzaga. The Bluejays are just 2-3 since then however, beating Oregon and Nicholls with losses to Baylor, Iowa State and Nebraska otherwise. Over nine games this year so far that gives the Bluejays a 5-4 overall run.
Matched up against Nebraska last weekend, the Bluejays held a rough 33-19 deficit at the break. Creighton didn’t get any closer than that on a 38-31 run the rest of the way and lost 71-50. Austin Swartz was the only player to finish in double-digits with 16 points and five rebounds. Both Josh Dix and Nik Graves (two assists) contributed nine points and two rebounds apiece as well.

Kansas State vs Creighton Prediction
I’ll probably take a stab on Kansas State. You could argue this one either way, though. The Wildcats destroyed MS Valley State in their last outing, hitting 57.6 percent from the field and 52.8 percent (19-of-36) from outside along with a 13-of-16 performance (81.3 percent) from the line. Kansas State owned the boards 41-25 and had 30 assists but also coughed up 14 turnovers along the way. The 108 points were nice to see after finishing sub-70 for three straight games (all losses) prior to that.
As for Creighton, they shot just 30.8 percent from the field with a 24-12 deficit in the paint against a good Nebraska team in their last outing. The Bluejays had managed to tally a combined 172 points in their previous two games (both wins) however, so they should score well here. I think Kansas State can keep a cover pace but it’s a coin flip.
