Jacksonville is averaging 72.6 points while their defense is giving up 71.3 points per game. The offense is ranked 228th in the league while the defense is ranked 175th. They are shooting 36.42 percent from deep which is 69th in the league. Robert McRay V has been the top player for this team averaging 17.2 points while shooting 45 percent from the field. 

Can Stetson Bounce Back?

Stetson is struggling heading into this game and they have lost two games in a row. Two games ago against North Florida they were competitive and made it all the way to overtime but ended up losing 101-100. In the last game against Florida Gulf Coast, they showed some signs of tied legs, especially with the offense and they ended up losing 82–56. At halftime, they were down 40-23 and it got even worse in the second half. There were two players that finished with at least 13 points, but the rest of the offense had zero production. Josh Massey put up 19 points and five rebounds. 

Stetson is averaging 73.2 points while the defense is giving up 82.5 points per game. The offense is ranked 218th in the league while the defense is ranked 357th in the league. The offense isn’t the problem it’s the lack of playing any sort of defense that has really let them down. They are shooting 34.83 percent from deep and a couple of more attempts from deep could help. Mehki Ellison has been the top player, averaging 15.7 points while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 39.8 percent from behind the three-point line.

Yes, Stetson has had issues this season, and they haven’t been good in the last couple of games, but I actually believe they have value here. In each of the last two games, Jacksonville’s defense has been a major issue, and this Stetson offense is good. Stetson is averaging 73.2 points per game and their offense is going to have no issue running up the score here. Look for a more balanced offensive attack, and it will be Stetson who is going to cover the spread. This is one of my favorite plays of the entire day.
