The George Washington Revolutionaries and the Saint Louis Billikens meet Friday in Atlantic 10 Tournament college basketball action from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. Here’s a George Washington vs Saint Louis prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best George Washington vs Saint Louis pick. We will examine the recent form and player performances for both teams, as well as the recent betting trends and streaks pertaining to this matchup. As we conclude, we will tie it all together with a summary that produces a sensible pick for a favorable betting outcome in this game.

George Washington Revolutionaries Betting Preview

In their first 15 games, the Revolutionaries managed an 11-4 overall record. George Washington hit a rough 2-7 stretch over the next nine games however, taking out only Loyola and Richmond. After that came a 4-3 run with wins over Rhode Island, George Mason, La Salle and Saint Bonaventure. After a win over Fordham, the Revs have an 18-14 record overall this year.

In the tournament matchup versus Fordham, George Washington jumped out to a distinct advantage 38-17 by halftime. The Revolutionaries were outscored pretty badly in the second half 45-28, but still managed to hang on for the eventual 66-62 win in the end to move on. Christian Jones posted 20 points with four rebounds, one assist and two steals to lead the team.

Saint Louis Billikens Betting Preview

Over on the Billikens’ side, they won their first six games this year before taking a loss to Stanford on November 28. Saint Louis would hit a nice 18-game win streak after that, lasting from December 2 versus Loyola Marymount to February 13 versus Loyola Chicago. It’s been a 3-3 run since then with losses to Rhode Island, Dayton and George Mason, giving the Billikens a 27-4 run.

In the George Mason matchup back on Saturday the Billikens were sitting in the locker room with a 43-34 deficit. Saint Louis got even worse in the second half, notching a 43-23 disadvantage the rest of the way in an eventual 86-57 loss. Tops in scoring during the losing effort was Dion Brown with 13 points and two rebounds. Kellen Thames added 12 points with five rebounds.

George Washington vs Saint Louis Prediction

I’ll take a stab on George Washington. The Revs need to clean up their act a bit after that win over Fordham, though. George Washington eventually shot a pretty nice 46 percent from the field in that one, adding a 33-23 advantage on the boards. The Revs weren’t great from the line though (13-of-21 for 61.9 percent) and had 12 turnovers along the way. George Washington is 5-3 in their last eight games but they’ve scored fewer than 67 points in three of the last four.

These teams last met up back on January 27 in a 79-76 road loss for the Revs. In that one George Washington shot a tepid 41.5 percent from the field with 14 turnovers and missed seven of their 21 free throws (66.7 percent). This tournament rematch is going to be tough but I think George Washington can pull it off if they play well.

Andrew Jett's Pick: George Washington Revolutionaries +6.5
